House cues. What ferrule is recomended?

So I have started to do some favours for my local pool hall. I take care of their stuff, inturn I play for free :)
The house cues is my next big project. They pretty much all need to have the ferrule changed as the guy who used to do tips used coarse grit sandpaper!! to get the tip flush with the ferrule. All the cues now have a "pyramid" type look due to excessive sanding.
The plan is to order a bunch of ferrules, but what ferrule is recomended for house cues?
 
Cotton-fibre was the ferrule mtrl. of choice for a lot of yrs.
Pretty tough stuff, held-up well and I don't think I've ever seen one broken.
It did have one downside, it reacted to humidity, swell & shrink.
Eventually, you might find a gap btwn the base of the ferrule and the shoulder of the shaft.
To my knowledge they are no longer available as the factory burned down.
I've got about 100 if you or anyone is interested. I don't service many house-cues anymore.

First question, do you have a lathe? The reason I ask is if you do, you may need to machine the ferrules off the cues first, then machine the ferrule blank to the size of the shaft, as they come in a standard sizes of 13mm and 14mm and need to be machined to fit. Without a lathe, something like this can work, but will need some extra careful effort, and extra steps to polish, etc.

That being said, On house cues I use these from Mueller's http://www.muellers.com/Topek-Ferrule--13mm,6043.html
They are strong and machine easy and were designed with house cues in mind. Haven't had to replace one yet.

Thanks. Yes I will be using a lathe. Those topek ferrules looks very reasonable.
