Anyone know where these are posted? Can't seem to find anything anywhere.
Gabe called today, he won it. (yes!) I believe he said Tommy Sanders (?) got 2nd. That;s as far as we got about the tournament.

Nice to here. Gabe seems to always play well in Houston.
Tommy Sanders is one of the best unknown (to most) players in the
country. Pretty nice guy. Good to hear him back in pool.

Suprised that there was not more coverage or posts on here about the event.
Give Gabe a congrats

Thanks, I'll tell him. He did say he's won it twice in a row now, and the only player to win it 3 times. At least he booked a winner, it's been a little while. I've heard of Tommy a few times, but not that familiar with him myself. I hear he's very good too. I don't know how close it was, maybe we'll hear complete results from someone.

So this tournament must be held in his own backyard, or nearby? Why does he not play pro tours?

Yeah Beaumont is not far from Houston at all. Maybe 1.5 hours depending on where one is going.

From what I understand Tommy flirts with pool off and on as he is a working man. He said once in front of me that he just did not see a
living in pool at all compared to working. Sad but true.
He also plays golf and I think he splits some time between that and pool.

There have been a few stories and posts about him on here. He is a very good pool player that can beat the top Pros in any given match. The top guys of course have the edge in the long run but he has beaten a
few top guys with some weight in $$$ matches. Most notably was probably Earl. Though I was not there and heard different stories he allegedly took the 8 from Earl and beat him. I heard that Earl came back and has beaten him twice at the same game but I really am not sure
on any of it.
When I first saw him play it was in Port Author or Beaumont and he played really well. I called a friend of mine to see if he knew him and of course he did............How do all the good players know all the other good players?? no matter where they are it seems that they hear somehow

Thanks for the info! Now I know more about Tommy than I did before. Gabe said there is another tourney this week in Houston after the expo.....so I'll have to check with him on that one! lol Then he is coming here to visit me a couple weeks later. (actually because there's another tourney near here that week!) He comes here a few times a year, so what I don't find out from you all on AZB & phone calls, I try to catch up with some more then.
Thanks again!
