let's look at the better players that play for Europe...

Darren, Mika, Soquet, Albin... How many of those play mostly in America and how many mostly in Europe??? If you really want to know who the better players are, make Europe choose players that only play in Europe, make America choose players that only play in America and change the format from the short race joke that it is...

Laughable!! Plus, the best two players in this cup were Niels and Karl.

Pool is a worldwide sport, players will play where the money is, a lot like golf.

Just get your players to learn how to play a safety shot then you may have a chance.

The US must be pretty arrogant. Why? Because instead of playing against one country in the Mosconi Cup, they think they can compete against 54 countries!

Well, maybe not? The following countries make up what is now known as Europe:

Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuainia, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vatican City, Wales.

It could be that some of those countries are not allowed to be part of the contingent that makes up the European team. I really don't know how many of those countries are allowed to be a part?

But...for the US to think that they can compete against all of those countries, or even half that many countries, is ridiculous and smacks of arrogance, to say the least. Europe has a population of more than twice as much as the US.

But...they keep trying!

Do you have the source to the story where & who from the U.S. said that they wanted 54 countries to play?

Also even if something was said along those lines how does that make U.S. arrogant? I for one feel there should be more countries allowed to participate in the Mosconi cup, why not?? Is Europe afraid that China may beat them down or something? Make it a larger and a world wide competition, with world wide coverage.
