Has no one here ever had a significant other??? You just have to learn how to justify your new purchase like they do, its not about what the cue may or may not have cost but how much was saved. Just like when she gets new shoes or a purse they never tell you how much that item actually cost, instead they tell you how much they saved. I know that every single one of you guys has heard this explanation so get with it, let her know how much you saved when you get that new cue. She will appreciate the smart shopper in you.

lol, sounds like my wife of 44 yrs was cloned

mine makes jewelry, embroidery and is a stone cold hand quilting master.

apprx 1100 sq ft of our 2nd floor is devoted to her hobbies

she's tried to explain hand quilting to me and i nod my head, but, i've got o idea what she's talking about

the upside is i've got ample time to pursue my interests

Sounds like she is ahead of my wife in the purse department, but my wife is no slouch. No display cases, she uses them. Decades ago I bought her a good one, one she said was the type of thing you could buy once and have forever. Seemed like a lot of money at the time. She still has it I think, but needless to say there have been more since. So I think we have both built glass houses for ourselves- I don’t complain about purses and she doesn’t complain about the stuff I buy. Which I think is better for a marriage. OTOH, we also agree on the big stuff and haven’t been completely reckless with spending on unnecessary stuff. Couples that don’t agree on finances and big purchases are in for a rough ride IMO.

Oh she uses them. But it's like my pool cue collection. I have and will use any of them, but most of them are put away most of the time.

I don't complain about the purses, hell I have been known to pick them out.
