How do you feel about Craftmaster tables?

In my neck of the woods 300 is about right. Bounce a ball between each cushion as hard as you can without throwing it off table and it hits 4+ times they are fine. It will probably not shake to much but if it does the bolts holding the legs on could just need tightening. I believe the legs bolt to a wood block not a metal bracket.

Including the initial bounce as it leaves my hand halfway across the table? haha

I don't know if he's selling other stuff in the room but if you break it you buy it. :embarrassed2:

Hahaha I'm talking within the table here...I'm assuming if that half distance bounce as I slide my hand across the table is the deciding factor then I probably shouldn't get it?

Great, any contact info is much appreciated. Thank you!

Honestly, how much should I expect to pay to move this thing about 8 miles?

Sorry....would be guessing.
Call Boynton Billiards....they would be the worst case. There are $$$. But you'll get an idea.
MAYBE they have something in your price range in good condition and will deliver/install.

For the length of table start a third of the way. For width all the way from right to left or left to right if your a lefty. The first cushion it hits counts

Figured it would be hard to get a good throw without physically moving my hand forward to gather momentum.

So it should bounce 4 times lengthwise as well, starting a 1/3 from the rear?

I see the name a lot. I'll contact them tomorrow and see what they say.

I am looking at this table on Craigslist for our home living room. He says it came with his home a few years ago.

Craftmaster, model unknown. Asking $500OBO. Update: Just said he would take $400 for it.

Any advice to a rookie? I appreciate any help. I have not seen it in person yet. What is this table worth in great condition?

Says playing surface is 8x4.

Looks to be from the Modern Series. Probably a Champion.

Craftmaster table is made in Tampa FL.I forgot the owners name but they make a good table, when i first moved to FL.the owner put my table together and did a great job,and that table should have slate under the cloth.

That one is about 30 minutes away. The Craftmaster is about 10 minutes away. Worth the extra time/money? Would prefer to stay local but I'll consider.

I asked him for a few more pics.

Edit - Ouch, correction, Google Maps says it's about 48 minutes away.

I guess wait to see the one 10 minutes away and if your impressed then good if not so much than 48 minutes is not to far imo for a good table for a good price.

Steve lunsford owns them now. They are the ones making the mustang tables to i believe. He gets the best brazilian slate imo of course

I used Craftmaster's contact form and sent them an email to see what they say as far as transport/setup or possibly knowing someone local to do the work.

I am pretty serious about this table as I just want to get something of good quality and be done with it. I've been looking for a while now and I'm getting impatient haha

I told him what I will be looking for, and if he wants to perform the mentioned tests before hand, it would make things easier.

Now that is an endorsement from a legend!!!!

Well im no expert/pro in this field or the game at all but within the past few months ive bought and sold 2 tables before I finally came across one I like..They all came from craigslist and not far off in price from one another..I did a tad bit of research on what to look for in a table like the under construction etc and I was determined to find a brunswick, olhausen, or Diamond..I dont make alot of money so buying a table was out of the questions for me..My frist table was unknown and was 1 piece slate..It was in rough shape(should of never bought it) but it was only 200 bucks..Then I found a kodiak 3 piece slate table..The table was fast, but the balls did roll properly upon slowing down, it was hollow and had a horrible construction underneath the table..Very bad support and I hated it..It was a floor model table and I got that one for 400.00..Then I saw a Diamond pro for 600.00..I absoluteley love this table even though its not in perfect shape..Its in pretty good shape for being an older model and it plays really nice..The balls roll perfect..There are some things I want to get done to it but its a very nice table..Im very happy that I bought it and I finally have a table I really like..But I was impatient and did not do my research..I would constantly check craigslist and do what the other guys are saying..Hold out for the good table because they do come along..People sell them at great prices for quick sales because they are by no means easy to move..I am new to this game and now I have a great table to play and learn on..I was in serach of a brunswick but found the Diamond..I never thought I would find one at the price I did..The good deals will come along brotha..I saw them alot in my search for a good table..I am literally on my 3rd table in only 3 months but I found my keeper..So just keep an eye out on craigslist for the better table..Its a great possibility that you will find the better table for around the same price as some of the cheaper ones..Take care and good luck

Thanks for your input Casear. I've been looking for a few weeks now and it's getting to the point where I just want a nice table for a good price, and call it a day. If this falls through then I'll be keeping my eyes open for something as you mentioned.
