How do you find someone to help invest in new room?

I live in a town that has a history of rooms but in the last 10 years they have not stayed open. Everyone plays pool and says they want somewhere to play but no one does anything about it. I have a good location lined up where the last owner just up and shut the doors do to he was not a pool player and knew nothing about running a room. Its on the main highway in the central part of the town and county. Has 5 big tables and 5 drop pocket bar tables already in it. I have the past of running a few pool rooms and tournaments. I know I can get people in the door and have lots of great ideas but no one to listen or help and I just dont have the funds to open one.

How do I get someones attention to invest in my ideas and get the sport going again? Currently there are approx 22-25 APA league teams in the county that all play out of bars and there is no where for action other than bars which close at 1 during the week. Also there is a bar league that has 26 teams that just ended and will resume in sept or oct. There are no BCA or Vally within 35-45 min.I know the market is there and have lots of great ideas. I have alot of plans and ideas thought up and jotted down if anyone is looking to invest in Marion, IN. If not then basically where do I begin? I can get the lease for under 900 a month as it sites or there is the old location of the pool room that was here that had 10 bar tables in it that is empty. I am located about 45 min south of Fort Wayne and about an hour and a half north of Indy....

I am just full of ideas and no funds lol Any imput would be great. my credit is bad so I know that a loan is out of the question due to a bike loan about 3 years back and I cant seem to find and grants or loans that I can receive (like in the 15k-25k range.)

This site has answered alot of my other questions from just browsing so keep up the good work guys and I have faith the sport will turn around!!! If anyone is looking to invest please let me know and I would love to get together and show my ideas... I wouldnt mind just managing so long as we help the sport and I can do my part to keep pool alive in Grany County...

Thank you :D

Find someone with more money than sense. Pool is a low income demographic that only makes money in few economic scenerios. Alcohol, Retail Sales, Poker machines, food etc MUST take priority over pool in most rooms in order to make a profit. Less than 2% of the countries pool rooms are based on an economic model of making thier profit off table time. If you think you can make it work then best of luck. Work up a business plan, mortgage your house and your parents house and your brothers and sisters houses. If your family is not confident to invest it will be hard for a stranger to invest in a field that is unproven in your city. Pool rooms are going under for a reason. There is NO money in it right now. We are going on 16 years straight of actual pool rooms declining in number of rooms. Bars that have a couple tables are the way to go now. Small tables. Cheap cloth, expensive beer. Cute bartenders. That is the model that is most successful right now.

First item to chop - remove "help the sport" from the business plan.
If you can't project a ROI to entice investors you'll be on your own and if you
are without capital you're just spinning your wheels.

Guess its time to knock off the local 7-11... lol :D

Thanks guys I will try to get something wrote up and all the figures jotted down in case I run into some one with more money than sence...

Have you looked into a Venture Capitolist Group where you live, most big cities have these groups. But they in most cases thay are going to take most of the profit you make, and are like SHARKS seeking little fish to feed of of. But if you have no where to go, they are a last resort. How about a SBA Loan?

The lottery is 155 million. If I win, you get the money to open a place. How many tables do we want?

How about forming a limited partnership.
