How do you rate??

I think I finally did it. I am the pool champ of my little town. It's not like we had a tourney to determine this. The locals simply concede that I am the best. Not that this is anything to brag about. It's like saying that I'm the best surfer in Laramie, WY.

In this town, the last thing on anyones mind is pool. My town has multi-million dollar homes all over the place (mine isn't one of them... come to think of it, I also take the crown as the poorest person in town). Water sports are big here. We only have a few bars with pool tables in them. So my competition was sparse to begin with.

I was just thinking of all the years I've played the game, I've never been a city champ, even though I've lived in some pretty small towns throughout California. There was always at least one guy who was my nemesis. At one time I couldn't even lay claim to being the best in my household since I was rooming with a couple of other players.

A friend of mine made me laugh when he said that he figured out that he was the best in his zip code (5 digit). What about you? Are you the best on your block? city? state? other?

Dude I so run this little villiage that I live in. All these guys worry about is thier farms and thier houtty toutty vineyards (which are everywhere, they grow shit up and down the sides of mountains.....moutains to me anyway as I am from Mid GA....). they ride around in tractors and "poo"boots all day.....so yeah I run this "dorf"


you go 10 miles either way and the competition steps up quite a bit.......

As of right now, I don't even have the title in my own home. Last friday, my girlfriend beat me in the finals of a local tournament at a bar we go to. She's lucky if she plays once a week and she still kicked my ass. The worst part is that she doesn't go very often so it might be sometime before I get a rematch.

NOBODY beats me in my house. I can probably spot my wife the 1 out and
the breaks with 6 on the wire in a race to 7 and still beat her.

LOL, same here. my mother's boyfriend OWNS a pool room, and HE can't even beat me. They live upstairs from me for now, but I'm the best in my house AND his pool-room whenever I go there

I can usually hold the table all night at the local bar I frequent.. Sometimes the Corona gets the better of me though
