Lets make a line shall we....been wondering about this anyway.

Whats it gonna take for you to bet Earls way?

I meant to add that I THINK the line will fall into the above field of choices.Actually, thats not just my opinion but also what I gather from reading many a post on these boards.

So imo I think its fair, but by all means if someone feels otherwise, please post away.I mean no insult to Earl, either insinuated or real, just trying to capture the results based on what I think based on what you guys think if you know what I mean.

Earl vs. Shane to 100

When Earl is playing his game and not out of it mentally he is a 9 ball machine, but lately you don't know which Earl will show up to play. I was at the US Open this year and I got to see Shane play and let me tell you he's playing a strong game of 9 ball. He went undefeated to win the US Open and he beat Ronnie Alcano (WPC 9 Ball Champion at the time) twice! Earl usually has trouble with Corey when they play and Shane beat Corey 100 to 70 and based on that Shane has to be the favorite. I don't know what to expect in a race to 100 with Shane & Earl especially since I have a copy of the 9 ball race to 120 with Earl and Efren in Hong Kong and Earl played outstanding, but they played on a Brunswick table which is better for Earl's game. Earl was ahead all the way over the 3 days that he played Efren and he led by 17 games at one point, but Efren caught fire on the third day and ran a bunch of racks and came from behind and beat Earl right at the end of the match by 3 games. If they'd have been racing to a 100 Earl would have blown Efren out, but he did end up losing the $100,000 to Efren. I think the match with Shane is going to be played on a Diamond table and from my experience watching Earl play he doesn't play as well on a Diamond table.

This is a hard match to say how many games Earl will win with his credentials and what he did against Efren in Hong Kong racing to 120. I'm a fan of Earl's, but I think Shane will win the match!

"I Love Lamp"

Alright...I've seen the tees and what not.I must admit I've spent more then a minute trying to figure out wtf it means.

Pop culture maybe?
If its simple I'm gonna have much shame.
Whats the reference or meaning?

After sixteen votes, and excusing the one vote very high and the other very low....the average is 22.5 for the remaining 14 votes.

Interesting when you consider CD's result vs this same player.

Is Earl 7 games better than Corey in the same situation?

It will be very interesting to see how this moves over the days time.

though I voted for Earl to win, you need a line on "if" he will finish the match, or get hosed and walk out over some stupid thing bothering him.

Earl is more of a GC player than a Diamond table player thats for sure and that will slow him down, full size pockets on a GC4 and SVB might not like it.

i'm not going to bet this match too many weird things can happen, equipment, Earls mood(I think he will be good), etc. but i am gonna watch it, should be great. It will be one of those hindsight is 20/20 kinda matches, something obvious will be clear after its over-I never bet those kind of matches. To me betting is all business and this aint business, it will be good fun.

Earl Can Beat A Gremlin

60-40 Shane.
Shane shoots better and Earl says he can't beat him.
Earl has eyeballs.
Shane's gremlins are laughing at him. :) :) :)
Shane wants to win by 30.

Earl will be entertaining for the third and final set..... imo
I hope they keep him 'miked up'.

though he wont win Earl did better last night by 5 games. Thats a 10 game swing in my book. Actually I fell asleep, but the set went 30 to 23 if my math is right? thats not THAT bad a nite.

Here is my take on the game so far..Earl needs to Cowboy the f* up!!!

He needs to pull his composure together...he needs to start reminiscing on the previous World Champion/US open 9 ball titles he's won, and bring the CASH home!!! I can't stand to watch him bicker and wine about every darn thing (but that's Earl) and not think about the big picture. Forget the $ for a second. His REPUTATION is on the line. Even Mike G. was barking at him after the match. Earl acts like he doesn't care and is slowly losing my respect for him. Doesn't he understand a lot of people came there because the want to see him play and I mean really play!!!

Earl grow up, chalk up and shoot em' up like the Earl we use to know in the 80's....start doing it right frikkin' now!!!

The problem is that Earl cant play like the old Earl. Its the same as other aging athletes, such as Michael Jordan and Roger Clemens. Although they can show flashes of brilliance and feel that they can still dominate, it is now physically impossible.

I think you are backwards on this one.;) Earl is in great shape physically. However, mentally he is like a methed out, broke down, buggy pushing, trash collecting, fairy seeing, bridge jumping (for scotty townsend), whacked out bum.   With no intended offense to Earl!

I think Earl is great but I don't Earl thinks Earl is great.FWIW
