Gareth Potts is a tremendous player, but there are levels to this.

Potts didn't start out as a snooker player lol

Lol....Potts and Shelby grew up playing both 8b and snooker....but with very different results and careers...I’ll respectfully leave it there.

This doesn't add up for me. Prize money in pool is incomparable to snooker, so not a fair way to measure, is it?

Money is irrelevant when trying to compare the quality of 2 players in different sports.

Also, Potts doesn't play competitive snooker. Selby has played competitive pool.

Potts has practiced with and beaten professional snooker players.

Not saying he's a better snooker player, I'm referring to his mechanics.

The topic was made for comparison of pool players not snooker players on thier business decisions sorta speak, seems like he put all his chips in on Chinese 8 ball and signing on with joy and cashing in , Shaw talked about doing the same when Berg thumped him but never has
As to his skill level, it's he has ridicules skills much like snooker players he shoots as anyone he also plays the celebrity role very well he simply gets it he's very marketable and I've yet to see him do anything that may compromise that like we have seen many

In other words he is maximizing his earnings potential , he doesn't have to be the best to keep making money he sells himself very well and sponsors are attracted to that

That's the point of the post, this guy just gets it on all levels
