How I brought my break from 17mph to 21mph

Great, thanks for the clarifications! Those little details can be very helpful when trying to get an image of what you're describing. A video would be very beneficial too *hint hint* :p

I'll continue working on it when I get out again, focusing on the snap and accuracy and not worry as much about increasing my 'swing' on top of the snapping. 8ball bar league is tomorrow, these instructions and a new break tip....hopefully it'll be interesting!

That Break Rak looks like a ton of fun, and would certainly make practicing this about a thousand times easier lol Unfortunately, I can't justify the cost. If I was training to play professionally or something......but not for what I do

Share the purchase of the BreakRak.

Give me a call anytime. Happy to talk.

We have similar playing equipment although our break cue is different, I doubt that is the difference.

I too have the BreakRak and you've inspired me to pull it out today to get in some reps for a couple of upcoming events.

Please PM me the information for the wrist snap. Every tip helps. (Just be warned that if you share the wrist snap SECRET with me, I will be forced to share the tip with the viewers and listeners on a future upcoming LiveStream. :D) You will get credit for the tip.

For those who can't justify the purchase of the BreakRak, I suggest you talk to some buddies who are competitive enough to want to improve their break speed and ACCURACY and see if you can form a partnership and pool your cash together and buy one for your peer group. Most people use the BreakRak periodically to tune up their break once they have mastered the speed and accuracy thing so you can actually (time-wise) afford to share the device between other level-headed guys.

There will be lots of hangers on that want to use the BreakRak to test their speed and not pay for it, so look for guys who don't mind spending a little dough toward a worthy goal.

Hi JoeyA... here is another TIP.... this is for right-handers (left handers do the reverse). After your closed bridge is on the table, rotate it counter clockwise to tighten up the hole in the bridge-hand. This helps me obtain better accuracy of hit.

Good Luck...

just a quick follow up...

League night was tonight, we were short a player and I got picked to shoot twice. I ended up breaking all but 2 racks (lost the initial lag and lost one game in the second match). Then played another 4 racks, of which I broke 3.
All in all it was 11 racks, 8 breaks, 5 times I stayed at the table after the break

In recent past it would've been pretty much the opposite of that, 2-3 successful breaks out of 8-10

Of all the things I've practiced over the years, I don't know why, but I just never gave much thought to practicing breaks :o

Sharing one of those BreakRaks would be an ideal solution....sadly, none of my friends are that into pool :(
