The OB Cues contest got me to thinking. I don't know that I have EVER won anything of any significance! I am not talking about action bets or contests that require skills...I tend to do pretty well in poker tourneys...I am talking about 100% pure luck.

Having two kids, i enter fundraising raffles constantly, play the lottery on occasion, enter the Mcdermott cue- of -the month- religiously, always send in the publishers clearinghouse...nothing. nada. ever...I was positive I would have won a thousand dollars a week for life by now...

Now my grandpa, he was a lucky guy. Once in a span of a couple of months, we went to a ducks unlimited dinner and a delta waterfowl fundraiser...both events he won a raffle for a new shotgun. Back in the '80s, he won one of those Honda Big Red 3 wheelers when they first come out, by entering a drawing at work. My last high school football game, the booster club held a random drawing from game tickets for a brand new .380 Remington deer rifle...yep, he won that too.

Me, not a single thing. How about ya'll whats the luckiest you ever been?:D

never won anything, but i'm young healthy and have great family and friends so I consider myself extremely lucky!

I won a 7 ft CL Bailey pool table at a fundraiser for our local college about 3 years ago and a 12'X12' shed at our local home show in the same year. Ever since then my luck has run out, but now I do not expect to win anything after the luck I had that year.

In pool room fundraisers and tournaments I have won 3 break/jump cues and a set of Aramith Pro Cup balls. And once I won my own laptop that I donated LOL which went to someone else, but then I was drawn again for one of the break/jump cues, so I got lucky twice that day.

I have also come within a single number of winning another prize which would have put me at 5 raffles in a row with a prize for me.

I get pretty lucky at pool tournament fundraisers for some reason.

Aside from the raffles, my son and I usually play doubles in the charity events, and we won the last 4 that we entered, with the last one being on different teams. My team beat his the first round, he and his partner went through the losers side to meet my team in the finals.

I won a Harley in one of the national beer contests.

Interesting how it went down, tho. I was drinking the beer, collecting tickets, but didn't to come back for the local drawing (had to be present to win). So I gave my tickets to a friend of mine. It was one of the tickets I gave him that got him selected. He ended up in vegas with four others, all were given a key...his started the bike.

Just last night, I was playing 9 Ball on an old Valley bar box in some dark, musty dive. Lo and behold, right under the foot of the table lay a 1964 quarter.

Took the day off work today. My boss will understand.

DOH!, Does he at least let you ride it sometimes?

My luck is about the same as yours. My big win was a Kamui Gator Grip tool from AZB a few years back. I was eligible for all of the Gold giveaways, you guessed it, nada. When I buy lotto tickets the lotto tells me I owe them more money.

1) found $100 bill on the sidewalk a few years back

2) whenever someone looks at my (attractive) wife,.....then looks at me,......they always pause, shake their head, and then tell me "I"m lucky".... :scratchhead:

Yesterday had an all expense paid trip to the Tigers game.

Then I got real lucky, my dog ran right up on a skunk last night and didn't get sprayed!
