How many tournaments have you won?

No offense intended, but who would buy somebody else's trophies? What I did with the ones I won in pool tournaments was bring them back to the tournament director who also ran junior tournaments and told him to use them for the jr. tournaments.....

i heard some trophy stores actually buy them back... for pennies on the dollar i'm sure.

I've won many small tournaments (less than 32 players, some less than 16 players). I play in a weekly 9-ball tournament that I've never won though.

The only tournament wins I remember are the ones where I beat a great player in the finals (like beating David Grossman and Tony Mougey-- both double hill). Either that or the tournament was something unusual, like the ACUI national tournament. Winning against nobodies still has great satisfaction if you played well to win it. I guess thats what really matters...did the win come earned or not? Earned wins deserve to be remembered.

An animal...I tell you...

To date I have won 297 tournaments. I have kept documentation since I started playing way back in the 80's. Far from big events. Most were local and regional type events. Thanks!

Wow, that's great...you're an animal... Winning tournaments now must not seem like that big of deal anymore... Although, from what I remember of your scores in the Drivermaker Invitational....it doesn't surprise me how many tournaments you've won....keep it up!

Anything less than 32 player tournaments should not count, and also a weekly tournament should not count. It should be a special tournament with at least 32 players to be worthy of an ole notch in the cue ... lol

That's not really fair to say. There are some players who are just getting started. Those weekly tournaments mean something to them. It's those milestones that each player uses to guage their personal game. For a league player, their first break&run patch is a big deal. Once your dresser is covered with them, they lose some value. If you are an A player and snap off a small weekly tournament, you probably should be ashamed to admit it. But to the beginners, it is a very big deal. Any time a player wins a tournament, he or she is building their skills for tournament play. You better watch out. That guy that is winning his weekly tournament this year might be knocking you into the losers bracket in a couple of years.

Nothing personal ...

Anthony, but with your showing youir age as 29, even going back to '89 would have made your 12 in '89, and even yiounger for earlier 80's.

Probably either bums who would recycle them, or...
