How many people would actully buy and watch a recording of someone running hundreds of pool balls. I mean really its not like some leaked Pamala Anderson sex tape.
From what Ive read the reason for not releasing it is because of loss of revenue from it being pirated. So lets say it would sell 1 million copies. Im not sure it would but lets say it could. If JS got just 30% of the revenue that would have to be a pretty nice payday for a guy living in a motor home.
But really do ya think it would sell so many copies it would be life changing if he got every cent....Im kinda doubtfull its a stright pool run a very impressive one but really how many people care.

of course he cant make any decent money from the tapes. no market for it.

but by releasing them he gets the notoriety and can do endorsements, tv shows, other types of tapes and write a book or two.
then can do high priced lessons and exhibitions. and do the named pool stick thing. lots of possible openings by being famous for something.
that how willie mosconi made his living. and mike euphemia made nothing.

A million???? Maybe a thousand. If he made $10 a copy it is not a bad pay day in the pool world.

I can't make a single ball. They're all round and shit.
If I came across a free copy, I'd check it out for exceptional moves, solves, patterns etc. but the big number - BFD.

I'd watch the highlight reel when it's hits YouTube...

I understand the tour he is doing with viewings is going well. ..or at leats it's entertaining for those willing to pay the $50 to be in attendance. I wish him the best.

A scantily clad model circling the table holding up a score card after each rack couldn't hurt.
You really need to be more specific or ....

I can watch 25 thousand billiard videos for free on Youtube...even more on Facebook.

Yesterday For free I watched Mark Selby in the final of the Snooker Shoot Out....a ten minute match in which if he loses he only picks up £20K, or wins and then gets £50k plus 150K bonus ( about a quarter million dollars in total). This ‘free’ to watch.

Hard into imagine 100 people ‘buying’ a billiards video that is more interesting than a video on YouTube that has a fellow’s dog potting balls.

Let’s see if he still loves this after his dog takes a shit on the table.

I would buy it. It’s a 4 hour run, so it would likely take me 5 days to get through it. I’d probably also go to the road show if it came near enough to me. But I don’t think it would sell more than 500-1000 copies unless it was easy to access and cheap enough for an impulse buy. Big straight pool runs are about as niche a market as you can find.

I've paid to sit live and watch the top pros run racks.

Im east coast based so 14.1 is pretty easy to find.

However when watching a live high run, for me its mentally draining.

I can't even read through a few racks of 9 ball before I got tired.

So these pros have a skill and most people wouldn't be able to spot the differences between Hall of Fame pro versus Local pro. HoF pro really just has the confidence at the table.
