How much feedback do you think a member needs to be considered a trusted trader?

I understand that it depends on the value of the item that you are trading, and very high dollar value items should maybe be trades with a very trusted 3rd party escrow service, but it trading items that are only worth a few hundred dollars, how many feedbacks do you think (in your opinion) should a member have in order for you to trust them enough to either ship 1st, or ship at the same time as the other party says they will ship?

Also, would you trust the person based on feedbacks they received from a different forum?

In general, do you think that pool players just do not trust each other (if they do not personally know each other)?

I get the feeling that most pool players do not trust each other. I personally do not trust anyone who I do not know, or have not done successful deals with in the past, but that is mainly because I have always been very poor, and could never afford to trust anyone (when for example, they wanted me to ship my item out 1st, on a trade deal, and they had a very low itrader feedback rating). Most people might be a lot more trusting if it is dealing with an item that is only worth a few hundred dollars, but in my case, that would really hurt, if it turned out that the person should not have been trusted.

Do you only trade with people who you personally know, or have done good and successful trades with in the past?

Thanks for any thoughts about this.

I don't do BIG deals so as long as it's all positive I'm good, and even if there's a negative I'll read why, then look at who gave a negative and make a call from there

I wish trades counted, my number would be a little higher

I'd have more, but it seems like people don't leave them as much anymore, I think there was just a thread about that. :)

That is true.. I have only been selling for about 8 months. Not everyone gives them. But I try to.

Sometimes you need to contact the person, and request the feedback, in a nice way. Giving a feedback only takes 30 seconds of a persons time, so people will usually do it for you if you ask nicely. Unless the deal was not to their satisfaction for some reason.

I trust anyone that I see posting often here, that has been a long time member, that other members know, even if they have 0 itrader.

Having said that, after reading your posts, even with your higher itrader number I would consider sending a cue to you the same as sending a pet to this girl

I'm certain that folks on here with multiple trades with other members are trustworthy. I've also heard that two common items can make a thief of most any man....a lighter or an inkpen....keeping all that in mind....My first priority doing a trade would be making certain I knew where and how to find the other party. If you are not a man/woman whose word is their bond, I have no problem seeking you out.

I couldn't care less about the feedback.
Everything I buy is Paypal business, NOT send to friend or family.
So through Paypal I always have 90 days to get a refund.
The rest I don't care about. Whatever the seller says or any of it.
