How NOVA cues hit

Just wanted to get as much feedback as I can about NOVA cues and Nubs Wagner. Some people say they hit better than schon R series cues. Not sure if that's true or not. I got a friend with one for sale and just wanted to get some feed back from members here that have had or shot with a NOVA (NUBS WAGNER) cue. Any one know what kind of tip Nubs put on his new cuew.

The Nova's do hit nicer than the schons, imo. stiffer fit nicer feel, my first one i've had since 94'
Nub's did a great job. buy the cue, you won't like it then sell it to us.
troy with koinn kid is big on the nova's too.
 
I've owned several and I always describe the hit as a "Schon on steroids". I love Schon's hit, but I like Nub's cues much better. He was actually one of Schon's employees when Bob Runde was there, so I think that's why they feel somewhat similiar. I think the big difference is that Nub's cues have a wildwood insert in the shaft. Buy the Nova!

"Better hitting" is so subjective as to be a worthless statement. Everyone's values are different. Some like a really firm hit. Some like marshmallows. Some like something in between. Are Novas firmer hitting or softer hitting?
 
I have had 2 Novas. I still have one. And I sold several over the years of my cue selling. When they were being made, I believed them to be one of the best values in custom shop cues. Nova's are a great cue to have and they are still a great value when you can find one available. They have a strong forward balance built into their cues. Which is something that I greatly appreciate.

If you can get the cue, I would say go for it!

I have a customer that has one that I maintain for Him. I like the hit Myself, seems similar to the R-series, maybe better, but not for sure.
 
Hey Does anyone have a Nova butt cap for sale?

I've got one but the butt cap is broken!
