The BCA has an agenda also.

Hm.. it's around here somewhere...

Got it.

Sell 7 foot coin op tables and video games to bars and $60 pink cues to girls.

I'm not exactly sure what purpose they serve. Would someone care to enlighten me?

The BCA right now is a trade organization for vendors to get together and do business. They do provide sponsorship money at times (as in a few thousand dollars), but not really much of anything to actually promote the game or setup an organized sport or solid ranking organization.

Best thing they do now is provide space for the BEF to host the Junior Nationals but even that has issues since some vendors complain that there are kids around LOL. They roped off the actual show from the tournament 2 of 4 days. Funny part is that the food window was on the side where they closed it off, so the kids could not even go get snacks without having their parents walk down to the casino restaurants.

I think they do a good job by offering amateurs a place to play in an organized format. I have only played league twice, in Texas the teams were really into it, the competition was pretty good and most seemed to take it seriously.

For those that were just out for fun, they showed up every week and did just that. I'm sure there are some improvements the BCA could make? I don't know what they are because I'm not involved, but anything that promotes the sport or attempts to in a positive way, I have to support. We need all the followers we can get!

APA, BCA, TPA...,

You're thinking of the BCAPL, owned by Mark Griffin of CSI. 2 different entities.
