How to clean pool balls by hand?

I have a set of midline Aramith balls and I tried a few weeks ago to clean them with Windex and a rag and I couldn't get the scuff marks off them. They hadn't been cleaned in 15 years. I may pick up that Aramith restorer stuff
 
Just did the second hand pass with my recently purchased Aramith cleaner. Microfiber towel to rub clean, another to remove and polish. My 15 year old set of Centennials looks like the day they came out of the box. Nice stuff - I'm in.
 
When I was dealing with a new batch of Diamond tables, we got scuff marks on the balls routinely. I was using rubbing alcohol and water to remove them and it worked very well. Once that's done, any standard ball cleaning product works great.
