How to Create a Round-Robin Schedule

I've been running a large pool league for almost 20 years now (Wow, has it really been that long!). Along the way, I've picked things up here and there, and created some things myself. One thing I discovered was how to create a round-robin schedule without the use of a scheduling program. With just a little MS Excel knowledge, you can too. So, if you're involved in running any kind of league, or in-house group play, etc., you may find this info useful.

Also, if you're looking for a league handicap system better than the old "average points per game" method, I've used a relatively simple format in MS Excel for years that works very well. I'll gladly explain it to you for no charge. I firmly believe better league handicap systems lead to more players in the game and in the pool halls, and the better the pool industry will become in general.

The PDF file explains how to create the round-robin schedules. Or, I'll let you cheat by cutting-and-pasting from the XLS file that contains round-robin schedules from 4 to 24 teams.
