I usually start from the middle, but I’ve experimented with both and they seem to be equally effective. But after I line up in the middle, I do end up moving my feet to the left obviously because I’m right handed.How do you do it?
Once you have located the shot line, then you have a few choices as to how to proceed. My preference is to find the line first by standing directly over it, then immediately planting my back foot on the line. That becomes my reference point. Once I've done that, I can move my head off the line to plant my front foot and not worry about finding it again since my back foot is on it. Omg u understand exactly what I was asking TY. Yes the other 2 Methods u mentioned I have tried and are doable but yes they feel awkward. Another other option is to use your head as your reference point, leaving it over the line at all times as you position yourself. I find that kind of awkward, but some players like that.
Positioning your cue first is an option, but I think that too, can be a bit awkward.
