How to maintain table in the Desert?

Hello Table Mechanics,

I was going to purchase a 5x10 carom billard table and put it in my garage. I live in the desert out in California and it gets hot, sometimes over a hundred degrees. Is there anything I need to know about table maintenance in extreme temperature conditions? Is this just a bad idea?

Unless the sun light is directly on the table, don't worry about it
