i was thinking of the women on the ipt,and it's interesting to note, that, allison fisher is just another player on this tour. what i mean by that is this~~~~ usually one would have to conceed, that allison on most tours is the name to beat,true? however, when watching allison at the practice table, the night before the tournament, saturday night, when we all practice, i look at her and think,"shit, she is just another player, no one special" now THAT'S a tour!!!!! think about it. how difficult is the IPT tour? well, when allison fisher is "just another player" you know, it's the toughest professional tour ever.

Think that when you play her Bernie and you will be gravely disappointed.
I have been studying Allison ...
and she has more weaknesses that just the break. Given 9 ball, medium to hard jump shots is weak per her level of play, and although she mentally picks good safeties to play, her execution of them is lacking somewhat. But, the fact is, most of her opponents (except maybe Karen) make so many logic or execution mistakes, that she still wins, even when she is having an 'off' day.
Most of her opponents play 'pretty' well, but THEY DO NOT know how to defeat Allison, or to win against her by exploiting her weaknesses to gain the upperhand on her.

mind you, i didn't mean to make the focus on allison fisher, i meant to make the focus on how tough the IPT is. look at tony robles, an ace player out of new york, who is amazing!,now look at his record on the ipt, just another player,look at kunihiko takahashi japan's finest, just another player on the IPT, etc. etc. so that's what i was saying, usually if you get those names into a fairly big local tournament, they would be the ones to watch out for, but on the IPT, they blend into the backround,it's tough out there!

Let's not forget, all the names mentioned for the Joss tour (Joey K, Hatch, Zuglan, etc) can all very easily not cash in one of those tournaments. They're all beatable because they all play fairly perfect pool over a race to 9. Let's not make this a situation where if Allison played and didn't cash, we'd say, "See?" They've all not cashed!
I've been to countless tournaments where the so-called favorites didn't make it out of the second round, and so have you. When two people who play very, very well play a race to 9, one of them is going to lose. When they then meet on the loser's side, one of them is going home.

I mean unless your name is Reyes, Bustamante, Archer, Thorston H. , Marlon, and many of the other Elite players. That the tournament is tough.
And its because of the round robin format. If you get one group with Archer and Reyes in it, or any of the Elite players in it. Your not going anywhere.
Thats just how it is. And you can see it everytime they have a tournament and you see where players finished.
