Maybe its time to do another Drivermaker Challenge. I need to bone up for
APA Vegas Nationals in August anyway.
If winter session is just now getting over whats next? Is it just like your seasons and you will have a one month summer session followed by a 2 week
fall and then the 6 month winter session. Spring session is skipped so that those 3 weeks you can BBQ j/k
Is your league on bar tables or big tables?
Thanks, frankncali.
Next year's VNEA season starts right after Labor Day and goes until---and we're voting on this in Aug--it goes until Vegas nationals, sometime in May. It's made of two halves, the second starting in Feb, I believe. No more June playoffs for me.
The BCA is shorter, starting in Oct and ending in January. This allows everyone time to qualify for state, and allows the players a chance to get in the second half of the VNEA leagues to qualify for that state/national tourney, too. The guy that runs this league does a nice job, but doesn't want to burn himself out so he keeps it short. Just enough to make it worthwhile.
Oh...we play on bar tables at bars. VNEA says we have to have bars that use our vendor and tables, so this limits our choices somewhat. Des Moines has five or six different leagues and pretty good participation.
