Old GC2 in great shape .
Just bought this table for a friend .
Table has a 10-yr old cushion and still banks really well.
But, the pockets are brutal.
Imo nothing beats them old well-taken cared of GC tables ( outside of GC5 ).

It depends on how the pocket plays. Can you Fire a ball down the rail to get position and you make it or does it end up rattling the object ball? In my experience with other tables similar to this in California the pocket isn't fair, (it plays tough but not fair).

Now while the mouth of my pocket is a little wider you can still Fire the ball down the rail and it will go. You don't have to be afraid of the pocket if you hit it good it will go. Just my .02

Tight pockets...

The dimensions at the mouth of the pocket are only one of the key factors in whether or not it is receptive (fair...) to receiving well-struck balls.

There are horizontal and vertical angles that must be "within proper tolerances" in order for the pockets to play "fairly". Otherwise, even perfectly struck balls, not even touching the cushion, can and often, do rattle if the pocket angles are not cut correctly.
