I still think it's a big mistake not to have Ralf Souquet and THORSTEN HOHMANN in this tournament! We need a Germany team 2! If England has 2 teams why can't Germany?

It's funny, even great snooker players like Ronnie O'Sullivan and Steve Davis put in Efren Reyes as their favorite player.

Mika, Engert, Ortmann, Feijen, NVDB, Babica, Foldes, Hundal, Kawabata, Tanaka, Rodney Morris, Francisco Bustamante, etc. all put in Reyes as well.

Also Darminder Singh Lilly, Alok Kumar, Imran Ibrahim, Ibrahim Amir, Patrick Ooi Fook Yuen, Roter, Bashar Hussain, Faqad Mohamaddi, Stepanov, Zolotinov, Holtz, Toh Lian-han, Govender, Alcaide, Tepwin Arrunath, Chotipong, and Luong Chi Dong.

Quite a few put in Francisco Bustamante as their favorite player.

Seems the Philippine Duo is favored by the players themselves to win it...

Nah I think Qatar is a shoe-in to win the whole thing.

Did anyone get a look at the pictures of the two players from Ireland? LOL

 :D

i'm guessing because it's being hosted in England...

Plus for marketing reasons etc, they want steve davis and ronnie in there cause they're recognisable faces to the british public. but it'd be a bit unfair and harsh if two snooker players got the spots over the actual nine-ballers, so they put raj and daryl in there as well. that's my completely uneducated guess. :D

mind you, you could make a case for germany having two teams like renegade says. you could make a case for either souquet or hohmann as best player in the world right now so it seems strange they're not in it. but i suppose some people have to get left out, not everybody can play!

Tommy Donlon is a sharp shooter. He defeated Efren in a Money game, few years ago in Kuala Lumpur. Good Luck to you, Donlon.

Wow! Ireland's Tommy Donlon's glasses are so high I actually thought for a second they were upside down!

Now there's a man serious about his gear.

What did Efren give him? Efren could give me the 2-out and the breaks, and if I beat him, would I be a sharpshooter? :D

You are looking down on Tommy. Ask Strickland or Ralf and they will be able to tell you who Tommy is. Check out his profile.
Career achievements: Representing Europe in the 1997 Mosconi Cup, runner-up in the 1997/98 World Masters and taking Team Ireland to third place in the WTB in Las Vegas.

I'm sure Tommy plays world class, but how much weight did Efren give him?

lol i know we all revere Efren, but is it too hard to imagine that he may lose a game of nine-ball once in a while? :D maybe there was no weight given...
