Huebler weight bolt question

I have an older Huebler that has been my main player for a while and I would like to reduce the weight somewhat. When I took the bumper off I noticed that the small plastic hex head screw that holds the bumper in place screws into the tapped center of the weight bolt. My questions are does anyone know the weight of the Huebler bolt and if I took it out is there a lighter one to replace it with? Do they make a bolt tapped like that that I could find in the hardware store? If not what would hold the bumper in place? I know I could glue the bumper but would just as soon not. Thanks.

You won't find these at the hardware store. They can vary in weight and length from 2 inches to 6 inches. All you have to do is take the bolt out and using a hack saw cut a little off. You should be able to divide the length into the weight and figure out how much one inch will reduce the weight.

i have a few hueblers and i like a very light cue.
i have removed the bolt from most of mine and the bumper will stay in place without any help.
i know this changes the balance point but i guess im not good enuff to for it to matter..lol
and i have not had any of the butt sleeves or caps come loose either. the bolt has a large tapered head that holds the but cap on after glueing .most of them i had to apply heat with a soldering gun before they would budge.
