PAL or NTSC ?

Are these DVDs in the PAL or NTSC format?

If they are PAL they will not play in a DVD player here in the USA.

I will find out the answer for you. These will play in any computer's dvd player. And I am able to watch movies purchased from US over here, as most dvds are region free these days, with all the media codes loaded, etc. But to be sure, will find out the answer and post here.

I'll take the Caudron educational dvd, the virtuoso one for 20 bucks for sure. Let me find some info on the other stuff and maybe I'll get some more...I have some billiard playing friends who also may be interested.

PAL format dvds can be played on computers as far as I know but there may be some weird deal where you can only watch one format or the other before you have to pick one. I'm definitely no computer whiz, but am almost certain I've heard that before so someone more computer savvy than me might want to chime in here.

Regarding the Tuzul book, is this book good for learning the diamond system? Does the $45 include shipping and paying with paypal ?
I've never played 3 cushion, so is it for a novice that dosen't know anything about the game or for veteran players ? Is it also useful for playing pool ?
When will you be finished with the other book (450 pages) and how much will that be ?

Hi-

I do apologize for not getting back to people in regards to buying requests and questions. Was gone for a vacation, and then been very busy with work lately. My boss is getting back at me for the long vac

I could NOT find a confirmed info as to whether these dvds would work in a US (ntsc) system dvd player. I asked few electronics people, and they say it would mostly depend on the dvd player. That, there used to be a sytem difference between Euro and US systems (that US along w/Japan uses NTSC system, unlike Pal Secam of Europe and most of the rest of the world) but that with the new era dvd players, there is no difference between US and Euro dvd players these days, that, they come with all the regional codes. I tried few Walmart-bought movies in my three yr old locally-purchased dvd player, and they work just fine. Also these carom DVDs work just fine when popped in any computer.

If anyone is still interested, please contact me and I will send out.

Do you know what tournament the Merckx-Polychronopoulos match is?

Hi, I am aware you asked me this severa times via pm! I checked w/ my friend who sells these. He basically says, Merckx and Polychrono played against each other in more than a few tournaments and that he has a recording of more than one. Now I did not ask which specific tournaments those were. But I am guessing, basically these are top 3C players. I am sure they faced each other in different tournaments on their path  Sorry, couldn`t be more of a help.

Hi- Unfortunately that Tuzul book is not suggestable for learning the diamond system. Very well written and easy to understand book. (check out his billiard hall`s website, few animated shots which are great to watch) But, considering the fact that you never played 3 cushion (or perhaps other carom games of libre, one band and such) if you want to hear my advice, just go find a carom table and play as much as you can first :) And take it from there! Frankly, it is a game that need to be played first. Now the DVDs that are for sale can definitely give you an idea on the game, how the pros play, and can help you learn and enjoy the game, same like watching top poker pros on ESPN  But my personal suggestion -and I am no great player- would be to enjoy the game literally and then take it from there. Now, if you think the diamond system would help you, especially in relation to your pool game (I assume you are a pool veteran who would rob me in a heartbeat with your sneaky pete :) than I suggest the best book ever, Mr 100 of Ceulemans, which I do not have f/s.

ipitythefool...Do you still have my list of DVDs? disklari istiyorum :)

regarding the Tuzul book, Murat proposes something a bit different than the standard billiard systems. His system involves a table value that can differ from table to table, making it more accurate. I received a copy directly from him and I've enjoyed it. I concur, I wouldn't really recommend it for someone just starting out, but could be useful down the line. I think Bob Byrne's "old" pool and billiards standard book is great for just starting 3 cushion.

Talking about what kind of DVDs will work from Europe in the States, I've had the best luck with cheap DVD players. You wont' be able to play those discs on higher self brands like Sony. I have little Apex silver DVDs that I got for $30 a few years back, and they play discs from all regions! You can also hack the firmware on some players, but those cheapos sometimes work right out of the box.

?

can you give me a total price with shipping to the us for :
Sang lee vs Blomdahl
Semih S. vs Bohac
Jaspers vs Cuelemans ?
