Hi Keith,

I am looking at possibly buying a Bob Hunter cue. What can you tell me about his cues and how they play? I play mostly 9 ball and looking for a cue with somewhat of a stiff hit but still has good feel and feedback. If not Hunter then what would you recommend?
Look forward to hearing from you.

I enjoy watching you play. You are always a lot of fun, you are good for this sport. I've talked with you a couple of times while in Vegas at the Riviera and enjoyed are brief conversation. You are entertaining to say the least.

I hear you are working on a book. When will this be available for purchase?

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.

NoShow33, I have used a Bobby Hunter cue stick, and I'd recommend it highly. He makes a very good cue which does have a nice stiff hit, which is what I like, too, in my cues.

It is necessary for you to have forward balance because that is what makes the cue stick tick. I don't know what kind of weight you like, but I prefer about a 20 to a 20-1/2. Most people like them a little bit lighter, but I try to power-stroke a lot of my balls, and you've got to have that weight in the back with the forward balance to be able to execute all your top follows, inside kills, forced-follow rights, inside lefts, hard draw shots with bottom right, and follow-through shots with forced-follow left. There's a few more added strokes that one looks for when trying to develop a comfort level with a cue stick.

Word of advice, it is essential when practicing to develop all of these fundamentals. If successful, you will know you've found the right cue for you.

Hunter Cue

Thank you for the quick response Keith. I usually use a cue that is 19.0 to 19.3 oz. I'm not sure what a cue weight of 20 oz would feel like or what it would do to my game. Not that my game is all that great now.

Does the additional weight help to smooth out a stroke?

If you have time let me know your thoughts. Possibly a weight can be added to the butt of the cue to get it to 20 oz.

What about your book? I would love to buy a copy.

Thanks again and God bless you
