HXT Shaft

Are the Players HXT shafts a decent Shaft? $101.00 online....Just don't know enough about them.

I like them, have one on my cue, great feeling hit and value, but more deflection than the Predator and OB models. Which I actually like, a bit more natural hit to them. I have the regular version, they have a skinny model with a smaller tip and ferrule that would be closer to the Predator and OB as far as deflection goes.

100$ a Players shaft? Too much I think.
Add 50-75$ and buy a Predator, OB, Tiger LD shaft.

What Ht9 said.:thumbup: I have the original 12.75mm HXT, sawed off to 12mm and it plays very well with low enough deflection. The shaft is solid maple and is a really nice piece of wood. The ferrule is filled with some kind of foam which lightens the front end.

My friend had gotten the hxt-99 cue for 127. 26 more bucks gets you the whole cue. He likes it.

I decided to get the ob classic instead. I blow money endlessly on other stuff. Whats another 100 on equipment for a hobby that I spend a WHOLE LOT of time on.
