If someone has been playing for more than 5 years, and has not achieved "A" player status on their own by that time, then they simply do not have the genetic potential. No amount of training will get them there. This is my opinion, and the opinion of anyone else who favors nature over nurtureCarry on the age old debate

Not true, Rich. I am proof of it. I didn't achieve A status until I buckled down and really worked on my fundamentals. Took about 3 months of frustrating work, but was well worth it. Took another 3 months to really make my new fundamentals my only fundamentals. That is, the old style not creeping in occasionally anymore.
You can get there, but you have to be willing to change what you are now doing. What you are doing now, isn't getting you there. You can't keep doing the same thing and hope that it will eventually make you an A player.
