I didn't trust my cue

The time to get used to your new cue isn't during the heat of the battle. You did the right thing switching back. Now put in some hours practicing with it...confidence is everything in pool.

This thread made me think of something else: How do you feel when you walk into a bar for a beer or on a date, and someone notices you and really wants a game. Your cue is at home. Do you play??
You go over to the rack, and look at the cues on the wall. They are all 1 piece and are pretty ratty. How many cues do you go through before you decide onna "decent one?" Its likely got an oversized ferrule that is more blue than white, a nice mushroom tip, and the shaft feels like treebark. (not to mention you are pretty sure its not the straightest in the place. Actually your opponent likely has that one :grin: )

I only play pool when on a date if I don't want to get laid that night.....oh you meant do you play because of not having your cue or a "good" cue around. Hell yes I play!! If I can't beat some bar banger with a house and center ball then I deserve to lose and not get laid!

Do you play???? What sort of silly question is that to ask a pool player ;-)

All i gotta say is yer stroke will carry you through......

You can say that for the poolgame against the barbanger too ! :wink:

Seriously! When I practice at home I switch cues on almost every inning. I've never trusted my cue. It just lays there. It's not hitting the balls I AM. We have 4 nice cues including a plain sneaky pete
