On my journey to learning one pocket I always play someone better cheap of corse to make sure they will be trying and not just flailing away
So this guy who's a better player who plays everyday will play me some 5 dollar action he beats me everytime somewhere between 20 and 40 dollars
Monday I was close to the place so I thought I'd stop by didn't have my cues so I played with a house stick , I went 4 games down battled back to 1 he got back up to 4 before it was time for me to go , I left frustrated again the result always the same but he's racheted up his game becuase even though the results have been the same the games last much longer and my mistakes are fewer
Today I went over again of corse he comes over asks if I want to play I said but of corse
I jump out to a 6-1 lead he battles back and wins the game on my break he wins the next game easily and I'm like , here we go again
I felt good even in losing , I stayed cool battled every rack got the 2 games back to even then back and forth I finaly started playing maybe above my head got it to 4 back in forth there for awhile then he gets 2 in a row and pulls out 10 dollars and says he's done
5 hours later lol
I have won much more money many time before but in this case I don't care if it was 5 cents it felt great to finaly beat him
I'm sure everyone has a similar story so let's here them
