Ok, after searching and searching and pondering who should i get a cue made by, or what kind i should buy, i was doing a search for cues, and came upon Mike Zimmermans custom cues :)

And after looking at his web page for about a hour and checking out the cues he has made and the prices, i emailed him to ask some simple questions about his cues.

I figure once hearing back from him i will give him a call and then place a order for a cue to be made :) And seriously the price of his cues along with the quality was a big decision.

oh and just being curious, has anyone from AZ played with one of Zim's cues????

Zim is a nice guy, but he hasn't been building cues long at all. Heck, give him a shot. He seems like a person of integrity. If you don't like the cue I'm sure he would work with you.

What is the address for his webpage?

I, in fact don't play pool at all, so I can't give you a comment on his cues. But as far as a business prosepctive, Zim is the best. A great guy, excellent father, good husband and overall a person that I would do business with.

Thanks for the kind words from everyone!
Yes, I'm new to building cues, but everyone was new once! I'm looking forward to building Dave a cue, once we decide on a design, I'll post photos here (or Dave will) of the cue in progress. The quality of work and appearance increases with each cue I build, and I do everything in my means to build a solid, quality, good looking cue that the customer will be proud to play with.

Thanks,
Zim

Zim,

No problem, I love giving good Props when i find something that is really catchy. I emailed you back, tonight when i got online, and plan on giving you a call monday, if thats ok with you, to talk about the design of the cue.

Plus i love having that feeling of having a Cue that not too many people have, but people will rave about. And yes i am really Anxious about placing this order and being able to play with this cue.

I have never had the pleasure of using his cues, but he's definitely a man of integrity. even his post here says that! give him a chance, what harm could it do? I'm sure you'll like it but if not, maybe he'd work with you? in fact...maybe nothing...I'm sure he would. anyway, what kind of cue you looking to get? Zim is a man I wouldn't hesitate to do buisness with, as I certainly have, and maybe some day will do again. give him a try!

Duke,

I know what you mean about Zim and him being honest and full of integrity.

As for the cue, i am thinking about just a simple 4pointer, or something like a southwest style cue. with a birdseye body with Zebra Wood points, and a black wrap, and two shafts, and matching joint protectors.

Besides that, i will talk to Zim about it when i give him a call.
