I give up!

Take care Rude Dog. Hope to see you posting again in the future. Have a good New Year.

I've never understood this either. If you're a valued poster, people will miss you. If you're not, people won't. By placing an "I'm outta here" post, you shut a door that you might feel embarrassed later on to walk through again.

Every board cycles through periods of excitement to periods of sheer boredom. It's the nature of all boards.

Fred

You're being facetious, right?

Ummm...no. Why?

Fred

Because you did the exact same thing a couple of months ago and then came back as Cornerman.
As a matter of fact, AzHousepro stated that he would not allow grandstanding exits based on your exit.

No, not based on me. Based on someone else that had very few posts and asked to be removed.

I never posted any such exit, as I feel their quite weeny-ish. Does anyone else feel that I grandstanded some exit? I never did. I asked Mike to take my name off privately. I've wanted to change my name handle for years.

But, I understand how this board works.

I don't know what brought this on, but I personally don't want to see you go. There are very few actual players who have been in the positions you have. You bring knowledge and a sense of humor to the forum. If someone agitates you and you feel you're going to create ill feelings with them, ignore them. I know that's hard for you to do. But stick around anyway. Come to the Derby and I'll buy you a beer and we'll sit down with Timberly and discuss it. Sam

You know something Fred. You are right and I apologize. I do remember him stating that it was private and I'm sorry for insinuating otherwise.

Fred,
I'm sorry that I, laughed out loud. My memory is not what it once was. :o It was still, kinda funny, your, "Ummm...no. Why?", line.

It's not just you, Tracy. I remember reading some of the threads, and the way it went (just like these boards always do), the "truth" was as if I had made some grand prima donna exit, or said something that I hadn't ;) . And the one or two voices that said I hadn't were swallowed up by the wave of falsehood. That's the unfortunate nature of these boards.

Fred <~~~ thinks there ought to be a law against exit posts.

Fred,

You can see why everyone thought that just by reading what Mike had to say.

Nuff said on this subject for me.

In many cases, I would agree with the above statement. I have seen, many times, a poster that is just looking for attention. They just want to be, a fly on the wall at their own funeral, so to speak. I do think that it is different, when a person is doing it, as a sincere good-bye.

John
You would be missed a lot. I quit for a while and came back. I hope you will be back. Thanks for everything.

Look in the blue border above each post. Right next to the post number in the top right corner is a set of scales. Click on the scales and you can either give positive or negative feedback for the poster. Next click on the member list then click on the column header "Reputation" all posters are listed according to their approval points. It is goofy, but a good way to show RD that we care. He is currently the top dog, by the way.

Tracy

Been on this board a long time and didn't have a clue about the above-mentioned blue border. I'll be damned!

I don't know why RD is leaving but I think it's probably been coming for a long time, ever since DM was banned. I'm gonna miss you Dawg and I hope your leg gets better. I'll be looking to see if a John Morton wins one of the IPT tournaments in the future. Good luck buddy!!!

I've never been into politics and I'm sure not going to start now in a billiard forum. I had a great time here for a year and a half and rather than make enemies with people I don't even know, I will go away. Thank you to everyone that I have become friends with. I wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year. Peace, John.

It won't be the same without you man!
