I hate 8-ball but really like Chinese 8-ball

Just wondering if anybody else is like me. I hate normal 8-ball. Pro level players eat this game up and if they make a ball on the break it's an automatic run out. Chinese 8-ball is a whole different animal. Those pockets are so brutal the slightest error and you're toast. I really liked watching the recent tournament and normally I couldn't watch normal 8-ball at all. This is a great game.

I agree, it to me it takes a bit from English and US 8-Ball and creates a hybrid which I'd love to have a go at!

I like the additional safety aspect too.

I dont foresee Chinese 8-ball ever becoming big in the U.S though. It is far too tough for the average player, so these tables would very rarely be seen in any pool hall.

More like 65% - 75% run-outs in 8-Ball on successful breaks, whether on 7-footers or 9-footers.
