An end of an era -- just can't get myself to go this year.

Anyone have any recommendations for places to stay or see in the Smokey Mountains?

You wont regret it. For me living in the same hotel all week or dying every time you go outside are just both bad choices. The whole place aint meant for man nor beast-especially in July!

I am so envious of you. I had the best time of my life when I went to Vegas for the APA singles Nationals. It was the only time I have ever been to Vegas (in 2002, when I was just 21 years old). Always wanted to go back, but I only have myself to blame that I have not been able to go back. I had such a great time that I did not want to leave. Was only there for 4 days, and it just felt way too short of a stay.

The smokey mountains will be a really great experience I bet. I always wanted to visit , but again, I have not been able to.
