......and I am SOOOOOOOOOO impressed with his work.

I bought this cue from Mike (Quality Cues) here on the boards.....and I'm thrilled with the cue.

For one...Mike was a fantastic guy to deal with. PERFECT in communicating with his customers...and really does provide a fantastic cue for a great price. THANKS A MILLION, MIKE!!!!

Second - having owned my fair share of cues   ...this was my first JMW. I'm very pleasantly shocked by how great his cues are (using this one as my new frame of reference). The cue is breathtaking in person, and his attention to detail is excellent.

MYRON - I think you made a wise choice in getting a White of your own, sir. Wait 'til you see this one!! (yes, I WILL have it long enough for you to take it for a test run).

Below is my attempt to snap a couple pics to show it off....specifically the detail in the burl used for the buttsleeve and points.

Awesome piece.
I always heard that Jim White made a nice cue and now I will have another chance to remind me of what I may be missing as I wait for the pieces of wood to hit his lathe later this year.

Being that you opened the box without me being present, I get first refusal in the event your blood starts to boil and make you do some crazy stuff again.

You sir, have a deal!!

IF (again....probably should be read as "when") the time comes to sell the White, you get first dibs.

Same, of course, goes for YOU and your 6-point Boar........RIGHT??!!??

All right, I will include the BB.
But that does not mean we get to spoon and you are not getting anywhere close to my neck to give me a transfusion so I follow your patterns of cue purchases (fast to buy and faster to trade up).

:) :)

For now, we'll leave it at the Boar and White cues. We each get first crack at the other......

We'll see where the rest of it goes.......;)

AND....FOR THE RECORD....I DON'T REALLY LIKE TO SPOON WITH GUYS!!!! (unless I'm feeling especially "saucy" , and their Black Boar is especially nice. )

Nice cue

Nice cue Mark!! Gorgeous amboyna. Mr. White makes a great cue. :)

My head is still spinning from the week I have had. Buying, selling, trading, etc, and etc. Whew, it has been a blurr. But I have had a blast and have a couple of nice pieces to show for it. I am going to slow down for a while until the dust settles. Should have the Gina in a couple of days. I will get you pics.

Take care and congrats,
Jimmy

Looking forward to hearing about the Gina player, Jimmy.

I, though, LOVE to work amongst all the dust!! For me, it almost never settles!! :)

You've got some killer cues in your possession, sir. Ya done good, for sure!

Hiya Guy,

You have second shot on the White.....second shot on the Scruggs....and 3rd shot on the BlueGrass.

Funny how my PM box fills up when I get a new cue in.......most of which are from folks that want to know, ahead of time, when I'm gonna sell it!!! :)

On the positive side, though....I DO like the wrap on the Jim White, as it is right now. I don't think I'm gonna change it for black, so at least the cue will have the wrap on it that YOU like most!!

James White cues

I second your enthusiasm for James White cues. Here are some pictures of my playing cue and I think it's one of the best playing cues i've ever owned. I know that you'll enjoy your cue and I considered buying it myself when it was for sale even before Mike bought it, but since I already had one very similar I talked myself out of buying it and i'm sure that you are happy I did.

That is a nice cue Mark!

I have one I designed coming in (6-12 months) hopefully.

This used to be in my grubby little hands, until I sold it and traded up. Wish I still had it . . . . . :(
