I like Jeanette Lee's Attitude Toward Allison and Karen's Dominance

Instead of wanting them to change the rules or seeding, Jeanette Lee says forget that, I will practices harder and take lessons. I will raise my game to where Allison and Karen are not always playing for 1st and 2nd. Jeanette Lee says she has her eye on #1 this year and I believe she has raised her game to a level she can be the top woman player in 2004. In years past I have seen her miss many easy shots and I did not believe that she could beat Allison and Karen on a regular basis, but my opinion has changed after watching her on TV this year. I have watched her play some perfect pool on Allison and she played with a confidence that I have never seen her have before. She looks like a different player at the table.
I watched Jeanette play the entire week at the Derby City Classic and was very impressed with her desire to play and become a better player. She took her bank pool and one pocket matches very seriously and was even up late at night playing challengers and mini tournaments. I think Allison has lost her desire to perform at her peak and has let her game slip a little. Jeanette is hungry and I want her to see good results from her hard work. Hats off to any one trying to take their game to the next level.

Howdy Kevin,

How's things on the other side of the river? :D

Yes Jeanette looks hungry again. She's playing in a lot more tournaments now as opposed to being on the road making money at appearances. Or so it seems.

I think she has proven she can make more money than AF or KC. Now she wants to prove she can play pool better than them too. I love it.

Did you notice at DCC after Jeanette was put out of the tourney by Hillbilly she spent over an hour greeting her fans. I thought that was really gracious on her part.

Jeanette played great at DCC and really seems to LOVE pool. She could easily live off her income away from from tournement earnings but instead she enters one pocket, bank, and even three cushion tournements. She seems to be improving still so who knows what she can accomplish in the next few years. If she can have a run anywhere near Allisons' and Karens' success in the last few years, she might be a good candidate for the Hall Of Fame the same way Ewa was (although they still should of put Earl and Allen in also).

Great read, Bud, you hit the nail on the head. As you and others have written, Jeanette's work ethic, determination, commitment and love of the game are evidenced by the fact that she plays all the games. FYI, she's also a phenomenal straight pool player, with a high run of 152.
