I'd like to live somewhere where there was a bunch of action but if that means I have to move somewhere that it snows, or even gets cold enough to have a chance of snowing, I'll be staying here in Actionlessville, Arizona.

I lived in Lansing, MI for 8 years when I was a kid. That was enough cold ass weather for me. :)
 
Glad you're liking it up here, most people move the other way. Sure hope you don't think this is typical summer weather.

Congrats on the move! I spent the first 30 years of my life in WI and the past 12 here in Jacksonville, FL. I'd go back to WI in a heartbeat if I could.

I know you have been planning this move for quite awhile. Glad you are enjoying your new surroundings. I went from hot (Phoenix) to cold (Montana) ---- can still find a pool room with players ie Cole Dickson, etc. on any given weekend.

If you are looking for simple life ,less traffic,peace,spirituality,tranquility, you will NOT regret moving to SantaFe, NewMexico.
But for the recent migration by yankees and californians the basic culture of the state is American Indian and spanish from SPAIN. These Spanish people are very soft ,polite and decent people.This may be the only state in USA where u do not see the predominence of English/Irish/German cultures and it is a very unique state.:cool:

Yea It's a nice pool room. And those guys do hang out in there. I was there with Sparky in july. And it was a lot of sitting around. SOon as scooter left all the action stopped. Guess their waiting for the next sucker to come through. I seen 2 decent sach games. But other then that. Was a lot of sitting around and listening to the hagling. We took a long trip. Went round trip to cali and back. Pool seems to have died as far as action. I've seen only a handfull of action in the 2 1/2 months we where gone. Seems like everyones playing poker now. More money! But gotta love pool!

I am totally jealous of the improved pool scene, but good luck during the winter... I will soak up as much sun as possible in your honor:p
