I need help identifying the manufacturer and value of a pool table

I am interested in buying the pool table I have been storing for my friend, but cannot determine the manufacturer or it's value. It is a 4X8 table, 3-piece slate table with diamond markers, and leather pockets. The felt was originally royal blue. There aren't any distinguishing marks anywhere to be found. This table has a little history though. My friend purchased it from the guy that represented Lenox Lewis during his career. Lenox, his promoter, Mike Tyson, and Holyfield all played doubles on this table-not that makes any difference in the value, but something interesting to know about it. She bought it from the promoter approximately 5-8 years ago. I've included a link below to some pictures showing the leather pocket design, underside constructions and overall shape. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

It’s a generic Asian import. IMHO this one is on the low end of Asian imports. It has particle board slate liners and the frame is not real substantial and will more than likely tend to sag.

In my estimate the value would be 4 to 500. When dealing with these furniture grade tables the supply far exceeds the demand, so they aren’t worth much. Many folks just leave them with the house they sell and they in-turn are often just given away to whoever can pick it up the quickest.

Yep, Asian import home-style table. Looks to be pretty strong underneath. $500 is about what its worth unless maybe it comes with Holyfield's missing ear piece. ;)

Thanks @Lawnboy77 and @garczar for your feedback. My recent ex-girlfriend gave me a price of $3,000 (considering the history) - I guess she is still bitter!. I'm so glad I reached out to the experts. Although she has a photo of them playing on it, I'll stick with the $500 range, maybe $550 if she can produce the ear (thanks Garczar!)

Agree with the others. You can get these for free or cheap all day long on Craigslist from people that are sick of using them as ironing boards.

That said, the condition in the pictures looks excellent. So if you like the table and it’s already in your possession, then it’s worth a bit more than the free ones:)

Your X might not still be salty (at least with the table price). Most casual players have no idea the supply far exceeds the demand on used furniture style pool tables. So they think they are worth near what they paid (or even more).

The history with the boxers I don’t think adds any extra value to this table. We’ve had world pool champions sign their personal tables, and they don’t sell for any additional.

Thanks @iusedtoberich. You're probably right in that she may have just assumed it was originally expensive just based on who she bought it from. She did paid close to the values mentioned above, so that's good. And I agree on the fact that who played on it in the past has very/no bearing on the current value - it is really just an interesting bit of trivia.

That table was never worth $3000. If it is already in the location you want it to be, and the cloth and cushions are in good shape, then $500 is the max. If you want to get it for less, tell your friend she will have to have it removed because you are planning on buying a better table. Once she finds out what it will cost to move it, she will be a lot more flexible on price.
