ok peps i need some help and not for me. 2 of my close friends are looking to get new cues. while custom is the way to go (espically if they hit with my new dp cue, in which they will fall in love with right away) they feel they should start with a production cue. they are pretty good shooters for as long as they have been shooting. some local guys are pushing meucci on them but i told them nooooooooooo. i suggested mcdermott or viking but not really sure what else to say they were the first two to come to mind. somebody give me some suggestions or ideas on others or if i was right on suggesting these two. the future of these two guys lays in your hands dont let me down.............................

One good thing about doing repairs at tournaments is hitting with every ones cues. Buy a JOSS.

I like my Minnesota Fats cue and right after that in a close second, my Schlitz cue. Sorry, just kidding. Take them to the pool room and see if you can let them hit with a couple of different cues. Surely you have other friends with different brands. Maybe someone has a used cue for sale. Everyone likes something different depending on their stroke. I would suggest if you can't do this, Falcon,Viking, Joss, Mcdermott, and Helmstetter are all good cues. Sam
