There are not too many that can spot Haddad in one pocket. he is very good. I'd like to know who would spot Haddad 3 balls in one pocket?

MAYBE Reyes.....can't think of anybody else that would consider it, esp if they were betting their own cash.

Running out from a miss and an easy leave by a weak player is great, but it is vital to recognize the difference between that and when you play a good player who will hardly ever leave anything easy when they miss. If you cannot consistently return their safes until THEY leave you something, or are capable of making something out of nothing then you have a big problem in 1P.

Curious, I find the opposite, Straight Pool is one of the easiest games to play for practice, you just setup a break shot and go for it.

I've only ever played 1IP a few times but I'm happy to play almost anything with anyone if that's what they want to play. Just let me know when you are in town again.

Of course I understand your point but I don't think you understand what I was trying to say. You're fixating on the idea that I was playing good against a weak player, but my point is that I was in stroke... I discovered that while playing a weaker player yes, so what? You mentioned how sobering it is for you to play the ghost (I'm assuming in 9 ball?) try running 8 and out into one pocket against the ghost even with ball in hand. I was doing that against this weaker player so I figured I was playing well. Maybe it's different for you but there are days when I can't do that. If I felt I was having one of those days, I probably wouldn't have matched up against a tough opponent like Mark.

Again, I think we're talking about two different things, straight pool is indeed an "easy" game to practice, if you're a practice player. I'm not, I get bored practicing, which was my point. I have no trouble "practicing" straight pool against another player. I wish I were a better practice player, I'm sure that would make me a better pool player.

Alex, if you get the moves down, then you might play him better. Until then, come on up to Boulder and I'll give you a more gentle introduction.

Only place I've ever seen Doug is at the Bit in Longmont. *shrug* A bit farther from you than Boulder.

Lol, I'll see what I can do. I still want to have one of those 3 piece cues made (like Lou Figeroa has) so it would fit in my rolling overhead bag (I know I'd have to check it).

Scott is correct, I usually play at the Bit. However, I now have access to a room in Boulder that has a nice GC111, so I have been playing and practicing there. If you would like to come up sometime we can play there....it's open 24 hrs. : ) Pm me if interested.

I would definately play Mark some at 10-7. I'm not sure he would give me that or not? Mark and I have discussed playing, but no spot has ever been mentioned....and lord knows I need some kind of spot.
