I played the best pool I've ever played tonight!

I just played Danny Harriman a few sets of 9-ball this evening and even though he didn't know I knew, I knew who he was. I won the flip on the first set and broke and ran the first rack!! I was able to bear down and play like I've never played before. I know that he wasn't playing at his top level with all that has happened lateley but I was very pleased with the fact that I had several break and runs and often ran out from the 1-3 when I had a shot. It was very exciting for me to be able to play this caliber of player and to raise my game to compete with him on any level! Just wanted to share my excitement.

Well played, Zack. It's easy to be overwhelmed when you play against a great player. It's always special when you're able to stay composed and execute your game against a worldbeater like Danny.

Please help yourself to five of my virtual dollars to buy yourself a virtual beer. You've earned it.

nice job, nice job indeed!
wonder how you ran across Harriman? always an experience to get to play with a pro. i am still hopeful i get the chance to hook up with Nick Varner for a few hours some evening.

i managed to break and run 16 racks today, played quite alot today. my high for one day is 17, but about midnight tonight the balls just quit being loyal. the last couple of hours only had a handful of decent chances, and only got out twice. finally, after another horrible spread/roll on the break, i gave it up around 2:00 this morning.

again, congratulations on your caliber of play tonight.

RZ - Did you ever let Danny know you knew it was him? What name did he give you?
What hole in the wall pool hall were you at where nobody would come around to talk/watch him?

DCP - I am sure Nick Varner would be happy to play you a few sets. Probably all night long. At $50 per set. I am sure one of the Orlando guys can tell you what pool hall he frequents.

So, it looks like all the hard work you put into the Q-Skills Challenge paid off, huh? ;) And you DID put in more work than anyone else. Congrats.....

Thanks SJM, it's the best beer I've ever had. Real beer is revolting but the virtual kind taste great!

I was just sitting there playing with a friend of mine and he comes up and asks me if I know of anyone who would play some cheap sets! As soon as I saw him walking toward me I knew who he was.

I was at Billiards of Columbia in Columbia, MO. I think I was the only one in the pool hall at that time that is truely a billiard nut. Mostly college kids getting drunk and banging them around. There was one other guy who knew who he was but he didn't tell me he knew who he was until after I was through playing him. I can't remember what name he gave me, I'm horrible with names...lol. After our last set he asked me my name again and he told me whatever name he was using and I said, "you're danny harriman, right?" It was funny, he said, "oh, you know who I am?" Then we talked about the state of pro pool and his forfiet in the last tournament and stuff. It was really cool!

Good job Zack, congrads on playing your best at the perfect moment.

I'm sure if I ever had a chance to play someone that well known, I'd fall apart and make a fool of myself. Come to think of it, I can fall apart and make a fool of myself playing anyone. LOL
