Dude, you can't be serious!
By the way, the occasional comma and period work wonders...
DD, in all honesty I think he rode the short bus if you know what I mean here. I'm not trying to be mean towards him or anything... Unlike some of the trolls we get on here that try to start stuff, I really don't think he "gets it".

actually it's not! the ""reality" that you experience" is just another way of saying what you perceive to be reality.

Well what exactly is reality then??

-actual fact[/COLOR]

in other words not dependent on a persons perceptions

But aren't even facts subjective?? I mean wouldn't a working definition of the facts be needed in order to fulfill a reality that is not dependent upon perception? Let’s look at the reality of being poor. Let's say I made the statement, "I grew up poor." What does that mean? I perceived that I was poor in my youth and that WAS my REALITY. Now if someone else states that they grew up poor, then they perceived they did. But were they really poor? Who gets to say what is really poor? Some people define poor as not getting the basic necessities of food, clothing, and shelter. While others define poor as not having liquid assets as all of their money is tied up in investments, thus that new car is not an option at this time. Creditors will say you are too poor, when infact they have the basic necessities of life. Still they may consider themselves poor. How do we really define poor? Even Federal and State government have defined poor differently for different subsidies. What is the reality of poor? And why? Remember, we aren't to have any perception....as it is reality.

Actually, this has been a philisophical debate for ever. There's no way to prove who is right...lol. Is perception born from reality or reality born from perception? Who knows, perhaps you and everyone on this board are only there because I perceive you to be!

 You're hanging out with Billy Jay too much. I have to ask, huh???

As RZ said, a famous line from "The Matrix". If you haven't seen it, basically the whole movie is about this subject.

almost right ...

If you substitute 'character' for personality, all of the comments would
be right. A personality can be a facade of their 'true' character.

Lots of Hollywood celebrities have personalities, but that doesn't mean
they have character.

Just because someone is likeable doesn't mean they are a good person
underneath, and just because someone is not that likeable does not
mean they don't have good values underneath.

I believe most of the time we refer to this as being, 'real or not', but
there are people in the world that give false impressions about their
true character and moral values.

I'm so with you on this one. Some people are really beautiful...but their inner ugliness overshadows their looks, and others become beautiful when you get to know them. Is it only girls who think this way, or are boys the same way?

Once you get to know someone, their inner beauty radiates outward and they become beautiful to you. If anyone finds me attractive, it's because I maintain a good heart. :)

You'll have to take the red pill to discover that for yourself. :p

(or is it the blue pill - I know it's not the purple pill lol)

I think you are speaking of the blue pill, however, the blue pill will not help one to define reality...it will only place you in a state so that you are easier to deal with by the "man" in his reality. As Roger says, "That will keep you going for the show."
