i forget what the tip is made out of.. but its a real hard tip.. i know for a fact that its not phenolic.. but really hard.. damn..now that i am trying to think of what it is.. i will never remember.. i bought mine in 04.. like the next year after they came out.. its possible the new versions have a phenolic tip though..

Ditto, ditto, ditto!!

And the best part is that the jump cue part is about 6" longer than what other jump cues are currently, so doing the "regular grip" movement as opposed to the "dart hold" is a lot easier.

It's the only cue I've ever been able to succesfully jump with, and it's phenolic tip hits a ton on a break.

I just love my X-Breaker X347!!! I am making at least a ball on almost every single break! Leaves the cueball parked mid-table too.:D I cannot recommend one highly enough!!!

Not sure which one...

Any recommendations...

Buy the Grey Ghost J/BR cue from cueball1950, you CANNOT go wrong here. If anything, for the $250 he's asking, you could sell it for at least $300, so offer to pay for all shipping costs. Mike's a great guy, I'm surprised he's not asking for just $300 - that's sellable just about anywhere.

Get a gilbert they break and play very nice. There resale is not to bad either.:) :)
I have had several gilbert j/bs and I always sell them because people want them and offer me what I paid for them.:) I currently have two and one of them I had a phenolic tip put on and it jumps and breaks very well. Also if you purchase one and do not like it you will get what you paid out of it.

Thanks for the kind words Chris....but i pulled it off the board... to many people wanted to haggle about the price which i thought was cheap. then a guy said yes and i said sale pending and he backed out...so i am just going to keep it in reserve for now........................mike

i second that.. Mike is a great guy to deal with.. the numerous times i dealt with him.. he was professional, easy to talk to.. always responded to emails fast and always came through with what he said he was going to do...

THUMBS UP FOR MIKE...

even though he is NOT mike zuglan..we love him anyways!
