Looks like it may be impregnated not dyed. I would contact whoever listed it on ebay and have him make u up a piece say 1.5x1.x18 for a handle stock piece.

Im pretty sure that I have it or can make it. I have White oak burl and Maple burl stabelized in 2x2x15" pieces, may be 13". I will post some pics quick. I have lots more but I dont remember what they all are anymore.

This stuff is so dense it wouldnt take stabelizing in certain areas. Really heavy wood.
