Someone about 90 miles from me has 3 GCIII's for sale. He is asking $1,200 each, but will give a light that has 3 shades with the 3 bulbs kind. Some stools, racks, ball tray, balls, some house sticks ect.

Now the tables are disassembled, but still in 4 major components. The legs frame, the middle frame that goes on top of that and also has the gutters attached, the top frame part that has the rails/apron and the slates.
The problem is the slates are in a matched/marked set, but there is no way to tell what table the slates and legs go to. One of the tables is darker, so getting the top rail/apron part matched with the legs would be easy. But we can't tell what middle frame matches what. Also, the ball return box, we don't know what matches what, but the box return box seems like they can go on any table.

Will it be OK to put a matched set of slates on any of the other frames?
I'll put new cloth on for sure and have to think about the rails. The rails look fine and the cloth on the rails look fine. I saw some of the cloth on the rails and it did say Simonis 860.

Also, one of the tables had a slight difference. now it was the same color as one of the other tables, but it had an all metal Brunswick plaque on top of the headrail, or is it footrail? The other two tables has a plastic Brunswick plaque on top of the rails. Are they newer? the plastic is all cracked though.

I'll attach a pic of those.

So to keep it simple, I wanted to know if putting a set of slates on the non-original frame will be OK?
Is one of the tables older or newer?

And also... I am handy at wood working, carpentry, construction and working on cars. Should I attempt to assemble the table and recloth it myself, or should I leave that to a pro? ohh... one more question, the parts seem really haeavy. Can 2 people handle this? How about 3?
Or, should I just skip these tables? I do have a hard time finding something like a GC or Diamond around here, and I'd like a table real soon.

Thanks in advance?

table

its hard buying or selling a table that is disassembled....if u look at the sides of the slate where the seams come together there is a transferred marking for matching the sets..u can use miss match sets but its more work most times..<that goes for the whole table....the pocket liners are marked on the back side as to where they go.<< important-<<
u can get the cold crown 4 kits with new blinds, rails, corner castings, ball tracks, ball box-<new table basically for a fraction of the price.
lazy Susan leg levers are nice to have to..

I will have 3 tables to choose from. The tables are taken apart.
How can I decide which tables have the best rails?

The cloth on the rails actually almost look unused. A mechanic here said to see if they are too hard, and if they are too hard they aren't any good.

You can feel the cushion all across the rail and it should be smooth, no hills or valleys.
Push in on the nose in various spots and if pliable they should be fine.
Cushions are easily replaceable if necessary. I'd be more concerned with the overall condition of each rail.
