I'd just like to say concerning the APA

Sure there is sandbaggin in every league. If everyone in APA wants to see a lot of it go away then every team in the league needs to start scoring properly. If the safeties are properly marked week in and week out all of these super 3's who play like 5's and 6's will quickly be raised. The worst thing you can do for a sandbagger is not properly record all safeties played. If you don't believe me try it.

When that 3 beats your 5 and the total innings played were 20 but if the safeties are properly recorded and that 20 inning win goes down to 8-12 you will see that 3 raised to a 4 sooner than later.

Good post. We just got done losing in the finals of the 8 ball APA championships. Our team marks all safeties for both teams. When the score cards were turned we had one guy on the other team with 7 safeties and they showed only 1. We had another guy on their team with 6 and they showed 0. We don't want to cheat anyone out of qualifying but we want it to be properly scored. My captain and also myself are very good at telling when someone is trying to play safe and not really make a ball, especially 4s and up in higher level play.

I agree and disagree regarding the people...

The people do ruin the skill levels and stuff like that when it comes to sandbagging. However the terrible rules and ways of play (ball count 9ball, wtf???) is all the leagues fault.

No pushouts, No jumpcues. Basically, the higher skill level you become, the worse league becomes for you.

I look at it like cheap practice. I cant go to the poolhall and play a decent set with someone of my caliber twice a week for 7 dollars or less... It's gonna potential cost me more then that.

Its a good way of getting some basic competitive practice, but thats about it. It's a great night out with friends as well.
