How about an app, that also uses a smartphone GPS locator, to store info on players across the country that register? You'd put in your town, games you play, how well you play, rooms you play in.
You feel like playing, start up the app on your phone, and there is a B player that shoots 10 ball playing in a room 10 miles from you (since the app has the GPS locator you can see on the map right away where he/she is), you send him a message though the app saying you're heading over to say hi, next thing you know, you lose your rent money.
While we know there are a lot of us on here from the same areas, most of the time I don't see messages or posts like "I'm going to play at Town Bar for a few hours, come join me". With the app. if you get a hankerin' for some shootin' it will tell you if anyone is already in the area for you to contact to play.
I know a guy that did some Android programs, he wrote one for our league scoring for USAPL, I'll see if he'll tackle this and put it on the market.
Anyone without an Android, iPhone maybe that would like this on there as well? I don't know any iPhone developers myself but I'm sure the app can be cross platform and connect with everyone.
