I'm having a (9') table done with new Artemis (K-66) profile rails and Siminis 860.
I only play 14.1 "The Beautiful Game".

What is the "Ideal" pocket size for 14.1 on a (9') table?

No tighter than 4 1/2" and the correct pocket miters with down angles done right.

Finally what is in my opinion a sensible answer. Last time someone asked about pocket size there were answers like 4 1/4", 4", 3 7/8" which to me seems too tight. If you play on more than 1 table ever, it seems like playing on real tight pockets takes so many shots away because you cant cheat the pocket very much.

pocket size

You will get some opinions that they should be larger than 4.5 to 4.75. but certainly not smaller. It all depends on where your game is at and where do you want to go with it. I mostly play 14.1 and I had a Diamond with 4.5 pockets and then had them opened up a tad to 4.5/8. Still plenty hard to have big runs, but I am not even a 50 ball runner........yet:cool:

Here ya go, this question was asked not long ago. It went all the way from 4" will be too big to 4 3/4" is good.
