What size are the grinders and what are they used for? Prepping the concrete? Smoothing imperfections? For the pattern?Whole process involved one day with the grinders, then an application of base coat, which has to dry, then the swirling pattern coat, then top coat. Applications don't take long, but need to cure between layers I guess. Very clean process, the grinders have vacuum attachments.
They are about 20-24" I would guess. Plus smaller hand grinders. They are for stripping any previous surfacing material/polishing the concrete, etc. I was going to do polished concrete, but my floor was slightly undulating. Not so good for polishing, but great for the epoxy with metallics because the material can flow in better patterns. Epoxy is self leveling as well. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. What size are the grinders and what are they used for? Prepping the concrete? Smoothing imperfections? For the pattern?
I'm sure you are. It looks incredible. They are about 20-24" I would guess. Plus smaller hand grinders. Thanks a ton! I actually feel somewhat unencumbered at the moment. This home build stressed our budget plus my marriage to the max. But we stuck it out, learned some important life lessons, and ended up with a pretty sweet set up all told. Now I owe the lady of the house an art studio, lol. Good news is that that space is almost ready to go as well. It will be quite the moral victory for me to hold my pool cue again and for her to hold her paint brush.Love the floor! But love the entire project and congratulate you on bringing this to such a fantastic conclusion. Well Done!!
Thanks a bunch. Certainly put things in perspective. The missus's studio us getting close. Looking forward to seeing her get back to it too.Congratulations on nearing your journeys end, and for sharing it with us. I'm sure the first few balls hit on the newly installed table were pure joy! Hope you have many many years of enjoyment and satisfaction with your house, your pool room, and especially your marriage.
